No, I don't mean your father. I mean who is in control of your feelings and emotions? Are you in control, or is your ex?
Though breakups are painful, a wise person takes a step back, to figure out what happened, and why. Was the source of the problem an argument? Was the issue worth the attention being placed on it now?
The best thing to do now is to place phusical and emotional distance between you and your ex. Allow some time for both of you to cool off. No real progress can be made to reconcile your differences while you are both hot about the issue. To solve the problem you must be able to have a positive realistic conversation. Time and distance will allow you and your ex to take emotion out of the equation and work through to a solution.
Although you need to keep in contact and have communication, keep light and skip the drama and emotion , ok.
Most breakups can be easily undone if you and your ex can simply find the patience and civility to talk things through, so this should be your primary goal if you want to rekindle the flame with an ex significant other that you care significantly for.
These are just the beginning steps in how to win your ex back without driving him away. If you need more help right away, I suggest you check out T. Dubb Jackson's site. The Magic of Makingup.
